The Felicja Blumental Music Center RA

The musical heartbeat of Tel Aviv.

The Center's lovely concert hall hosts a wide variety of programs ranging from chamber music and classical music concerts, lectures, workshops, jazz concerts and educational programs.

The Association was founded in 1998. The objectives of the Association are to initiate, organize, manage and produce cultural events in the field of music generally and opera in particular. The Association fields a wide range of educational activities and cooperates with the Felicja Blumental Music Library.

In 1999 the Association established an annual International Music Festival at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in memory of Felicja Blumental.

The Felicja Blumental Music Center and Library, formerly known as AMLI (Americans for a Music Library in Israel) Central Music Library in Tel-Aviv, was established in 1951 by the Tel-Aviv Municipality and the Ministry of Education. Its founders were well- known Israeli musicians and musicologists. The Library moved from its old home to a new building in 1996, dedicated to the memory of the pianist Felicja Blumental .

The library collection includes books on music, scores, records, CDs, Videos DVDs, archival collections and a collection of musical instruments.

Among the collections are the archives of violinist Bronislaw Huberman, composers Menashe Ravina and Yitzchak Edel, composer and cellist Joachim Stutschewsky as well as the Felicja Blumental Collection. Private donors created a collection of ethnic and European musical instruments.

The music library has a circulation department that lends its collection of books, scores and recordings as well as a reference room, periodical collection, an audio-visual department and an exhibition hall.
